Via del Vino is the brain child of Flemming Teilgaard Laugesen and the connubium of Flemming with Riccardo Lucque and Ondřej Rákosník into a successful wine and food import and distribution.

Flemming Teilgaard Laugesen
Flemming has worked in the wine business since 1998. In recent years wines and producers have convinced him that viticulturalists must strive to preserve or improve their biological environment as the only solution to producing excellent grapes which in turn may become excellent wines if they are not altered during the vinification process. The same applies to food products.
Flemming travels for wine on a monthly basis and works with wineries that he knows intimately. The Via del Vino portfolio consists of uncompromising producers. Flemming only imports wines he likes and drinks. Wine and gastronomy is his work, hobby, passion... his life. Destiny has chosen Italian wines for Flemming. As such the Via del Vino portfolio focuses on Italy. The only excuse outside the Italian peninsula is Riesling from the Mosel valley, because it's better. Flemming presents events and holds tastings and seminars in Czech, English, Danish, Italian, German and French. His dedication unto himself and his clients is to understand his field as best he can.
Riccardo´s career in gastronomy began at the age of 16, working in hotels around Rimini and Pesaro in the Marche region of Italy. In 1990, he began working at the Michelin starred Da Alceo seafood restaurant in Pesaro. Three years later, aged 24, he left for England to work at Zafferano, named best Italian restaurant in London in 2001 and awarded a Michelin star. After a three-month sojourn as the head chef of Buco in Manhattan, he returned to England to serve as executive chef of a chain of five Italian restaurants in the Thames region. He came to Prague in 2002 as head chef of the “Square, a restaurant” on Malostranské náměstí.
In April 2005, Riccardo opened his first restaurant, Aromi, in Vinohrady. Four years later, in 2009, he launched its sister restaurant, La Finestra in Cucina, located near Staroměstské náměstí in central Prague. In May 2012, Riccardo opened his third restaurant, Il Mercato, in Brno.
After successful completion of hotel school in Klánovice, Ondřej went to England where he studied Business Administration and also gained experience in various restaurants. During his stay in Britain he often undertook trips to Italy in which he fell in love.
After his return to Bohemia he worked in the restaurant Square on Malostranské náměstí where he first met Riccardo Lucque. In 2005 their cooperation began when Ondřej helped Riccardo open the restaurant, Aromi, in Vinohrady and four years later, already as co-owners, they opened the restaurant La Finestra in Cucina, in central Prague.
In May 2012 Riccardo and Ondřej extended their businesses to Brno, where together with partner Martin Němec, opened an Italian restaurant, Il Mercato, at Zelný Trh.
Via del Vino Wine Cellar
Located in the downstairs of Laboratorio, Scuola di Cucina, our show room doubles as a meeting place with clients as well as our didactic center. Wine tastings, courses and winery presentations are often held in Laboratorio.
Via del Vino Warehouse
Since Radek Vencl became warehouse manager in 2013 it is possible and very easy to pick up orders at our warehouse on weekdays from 9 - 17. We are located at Štefanikova 43A, Prague 5, on Arbesovo Náměstí. There is a tall iron gate to the left of the butcher's shop. Please ring the bell and ask for Gourmet Services. You can park in the courtyard.
At the far left end of the courtyard there are steps leading up to the main entrance to the building. Proceed down the hall until you arrive at a door on your right. Please proceed through the door and immediately take the next door on your right. You have arrived.
Please note that we do not accept credit cards at our warehouse. Please advise us of your visit beforehand so that Radek has your purchase and payment amount ready.
